Questions and requests about this notice: support@dropyourtime.com

02 What Data We Process

  • Account data: your name, email address, preferences and consent records.
  • What you do with your account: athletes and clubs in your favourites, profile linking and name masking requests, short notes you add to them and the decisions made.
  • Public meet data: names, club or school, birth year where published, event category, times, splits, places and statuses as published in meet documents.
  • Form data: the message you write in the correction and contact forms, and your optional name and email address.
  • Technical data: short-lived server logs for security (IP address, time, requested address) and session data.

Cookies: we only use cookies the service needs to work (session and sign-in, language and appearance preference). We use no advertising or tracking cookies; if that changes we will ask for your consent first.

03 Why We Process It

  • To create your account, sign you in and run the early access process.
  • To offer account features such as favourites, profile linking and name masking.
  • To send emails about your account: email verification, early access, access opened, welcome and the outcome of your requests.
  • To publish the meet calendar, results and rankings.
  • To answer correction reports and contact messages.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations.

04 Legal Grounds

We process your personal data on these grounds of Article 5 KVKK:

  • Account and account features: necessary to set up or perform a contract (Art. 5/2-c).
  • Legal retention and reporting duties: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 5/2-ç).
  • Public meet data, form messages and security logs: our legitimate interest, provided it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (Art. 5/2-f). Meet results are sports data published openly by the organisers; archiving them and making them accessible is the purpose of the service.

05 Who We Share It With

Your data is transferred to, and stored with, service providers in Türkiye and abroad that provide hosting, email delivery and information security, in line with KVKK.

We share your data only with these service providers, as far as the service needs, and with authorities entitled by law when they ask. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

06 How Long We Keep It

  • Account data is kept while your account is open. When you close your account, your account details are deleted or made anonymous after a short period in which you can undo the closure.
  • Consent and activity records are kept as long as legal obligations and possible disputes require.
  • Form messages are kept in our support mailbox for at most two years after the request is settled.
  • Security server logs are kept for a short time and then deleted.
  • Public meet data is kept as part of the meet archive; your rights to name masking and to object remain.

07 Young Swimmers

Most age-group swimmers are under 18. Public pages show the birth year only, never the full date of birth. A parent of a swimmer under 18 can ask for the name to be masked from My Profile; swimmers aged 18 or over make this request themselves. A masked swimmer keeps their time and place; the name is shown by initials.

08 Your Rights and Requests

Under Article 11 KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties it is transferred to, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request deletion or destruction where the conditions are met and notification of these steps to those it was transferred to, to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Send your request to support@dropyourtime.com with enough information for us to verify your identity. We answer free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK Kurulu).

Where data comes from an official meet document, we correct it against the document; if the document itself is wrong, we also suggest contacting the organiser.

09 Changes

We may update this notice. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top. For significant changes we ask you to accept the new text at your next sign-in.
